I had a wonderful stay at the Fiddler’s Inn. I was in the Sailors Hornpipe room and it was very dark, quiet, and comfortable. I slept extremely well. The hot tub was warm and clean and extremely comfortable after a long day hiking Gaudalupe Peak. There was a breakfast voucher to a nice bakery just down the street where I had hot coffee, a breakfast burrito with green chiles, and the scone of the day (chocolate chip). In all ways, the stay was better than what you’d find at the chains who charge a premium for their name recognition. I’d happily stay here every time I pass through the area.

We made a last-minute booking here when a rainstorm foiled our camping plans. They were very accommodating on such short notice, which would have been enough... but the ROOM! It was so gorgeous, cozy, and luxurious down to the finest detail. We stayed in the "Whiskey Before Breakfast" suite and were blown away. An electric fireplace, roomy and hot rain shower, and fluffy robes helped us warm up from the rain. There were chocolate mints at bedside, homemade cookies in a cloche, and a voucher for breakfast at the yummy bakery next door. The armoire conceals a minifridge/microwave/coffee station, and a cute vintage desk allowed my husband to catch up on work. The bed and linens were the peak of luxury and we got an amazing night's sleep. The next morning, after breakfast at the Blue House Bakery & Cafe, the convenient location right next to an Albertson's allowed us to restock our cooler and continue on our road trip. We would stay again and will recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Carlsbad in a heartbeat.

This was a delightful stay. All the comforts of an AB&B without the stupid fees. The room was unique, comfortable, and well appointed. Comfy bed, good pillows, hot shower, good water pressure, very useful kitchen - very clean. We had a few interactions with the cleaning staff and the young lady was very sweet. The patio/garden space outside was very pleasant and the cats were affectionate and added a level of homey comfort. There's a very well stocked Albertson's about a block away. The Blue House Bakery & Cafe (where you'll take your breakfast) is just two doors down - and is pretty great. Carlsbad Lake, which has walking paths and a beach/waterpark for the kids, is just a minute away (you could walk if you wanted to). I will stay here again and recommend you do as well.

This place is a gem. I made a last minute booking heading into Carlsbad for the night and ended up with the Whiskey Before Breakfast room. It was extremely comfortable, spacious, and had everything I could need and think of. There was even some fruit, muffins, juice, and yogurt available for breakfast (along with coffee, too). I really enjoyed my stay and I will definitely look to be staying here again next time I'm in town.

We stayed in the “Whiskey before Breakfast” room and it was so cute! The bathroom is big and the room itself was very comfortable. The room had a mini fridge, coffee maker and toaster. Plenty of towels and toilet paper. The Innkeeper, Jenn is very nice and answers all questions in a timely manner. I would recommend anyone to stay here when visiting the National Parks. Don’t waste money on big name hotels, support the local community! We were given a food voucher for “Blue House bakery & cafe”. What a wonderful hidden gem; best part it was only two doors down from the B&B. The food was great and you MUST get a pastry! For dinner we went to “Red Chimney Bar B Que”. It was very lovely as well!

Highly recommend! This was a 6 out of 5 star stay for us. The ambiance was perfect, very cozy. The sheets, bed, and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast next door was the best breakfast we have ever had out!! They even went above and beyond in leaving little treats for us upon checking in and after housekeeping. P.S., we checked in on Valentine’s Day, and this is how we came into the room! It was totally a surprise, not a package add on. The care and consideration that goes into this place and your stay is unbeatable! 6 stars!

Wonderful, well appointed B&B just off one of the main streets in Carlsbad. Our room was clean and comfortable with welcome cookies, in room coffee and mints. The breakfast at Blue House is a tasty way to start your day. This was a perfect stay for a visit to Carlsbad Caverns.
